QuickArrow posted a whitepaper on their site entitled “The New Professional Services Maturity Model” - this had lots of good
benchmarking data.

I’ll forward you the PDF directly.

The New Professional Services Maturity Model report published by Jeanne Urich and David Hofferberth should give you an excellent foundation to start from. This is particularly useful for a PS division with a software company.

I recommend this report, the content and metrics are excellent. Within the report there are two sites to get more information:

http://www.adexta.com and http://www.spiresearch.com

Sam,

You may want to look at the Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards as a way to measure the performance of your operation against a set of industry accepted benchmarks.  The standards provide specific details by which to compare the performance of your organization on over 100 business practices.

Best Regards,

David L.
