I’ve been delivering Procure to Pay SaaS to Futune 500 customers for 6 years and running Professional Services for 4. The closest we have come, and its a big leap, is standardinzing our implementation such that the price is fixed. Our license fees are standardized based on transaction volumes. We are selling this solution to companies under $2B in revenues. For larger companies we are still selling a custom offering with customer SOW and pricing.
Its hard and risky to make money on services delivered up front if you do not charge up front. Its also harder to run services with a P&L.
