| What's been your greatest adventure in life? |
My greatest professional adventure was the pioneering work in global outsourcing in the early 90s while at HP/Tandem; most people had not heard of the concept. I still remember the comment from an executive who was leaving the company “Good luck to you; you are going to need it!” We had to come to grips with so many issues at the time and develop processes. It was fun working with a highly dedicated team both here in the US and in India and I credit the tremendous team work that made it very successful.

| What is the path that led you to Professional Services/Consulting? |
I have always enjoyed helping solve customer problems; since I happen to get into global outsourcing when it was still in its infancy, I gathered a lot of expertise on the subject. When my former colleagues and other business associates began venturing into global outsourcing, I began getting calls to help them; then I saw an ongoing need. So I established Global Development Consulting to fill that need.

| What advice would you give to a recent graduate who just took a job in professional services? |
Put customer first - sounds like a cliche - but putting it in practice is not always easy.
Listen hard to understand the challenges faced by your clients.
Think outside the box; think how best you can help solve their problems.
