Voice of Village More Articles My Response

According to TechCrunch’s Layoff Tracker, nearly 120,000 employees in the tech sector have lost their jobs since August 27, 2008. And the number is growing.

Sounds like good advice, Dave.

Let me just add that a lot of people don’t like to be too “pushy”
about getting jobs, maybe because they’re diffident themselves
or maybe because they don’t want to be irritating.  But good
salesmanship is the opposite of pushiness.  A good salesperson
helps the customer get to a different, better place. When selling
the Corporate Me, do the same thing.

This is a most revealing article, taking the job hunting process
and building off techniques from the sales profession to get results.
I guess it boils down to we are all in sales to some degree, no
matter what the job.
