About PSVillage Terms of Use Privacy Policy
Guarantee of spam-free privacy
Here at www.PSVillage.com we are very anti-spam, therefore we will treat your inbox as if it’s our own. We won't swap or rent your email address to third parties.
Changes to Privacy Policy
If we decide to change our privacy policy for PSVillage, we will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we will disclose it. If, at any time, you have questions or concerns about the PSVillage Privacy Policy, please feel free to email us at support@psvillage.com.
Here's how we protect your privacy:
We do not rent lists
PSVillage does not rent email lists (ever), nor will we share your name with "third party partners" (with the exception of our Research Partners, Service Performance Insight and The Buswell Group - see #2 below) unless you pro-actively check a box on our site personally requesting that your name be added to a partner's list. These boxes are never pre-checked - you actively have to volunteer to be on any lists!
Your email address, name, company name, physical address/location, title, phone number, and bio
We only collect and hold your email address, name, company name, physical address/location, title, phone number, bio, and location for the following reasons:
  1. If you've joined our Yahoo Groups forum. In that case, you've been asked to fill out a brief questionnaire. We use that information to determine eligibility for membership. We ask for your bio because sometimes a title doesn't convey enough information for us to determine who you really are. We ask for your phone number in case we need to call you to get clarification on who you are. From time to time we may call you to personally invite you to an upcoming networking event or workshop, to participate in Professional Services-related research, such as a benchmark survey, or to see if you might be interested in participating in a specific aspect of the PSVillage community, such as being a Guest Columnist or being featured in the PSVillager Spotlight. Our staff is small so you can rest assured that the phone calls made are minimal. You can unsubscribe at any time from the Yahoo Groups forum. You can also choose "Daily Digest" to minimize the number of posts you’ll receive. Currently we send out roughly two posts a week but this number is dependent on discussion activity. In addition, we display discussion forum threads on the PSVillage site but take great care to exclude your last name and company name. Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example through email, discussion lists or elsewhere – that information can be collected and used by others. PSVillage has no control over what others do with information that you make available through our Yahoo Groups forum or on our site.
  2. For Research that benefits our Professional Services community. You may be contacted from time to time from our Research partners: Service Performance Insight www.spiresearch.com and The Buswell Group www.buswellgroup.com. Please visit their respective sites to see their privacy policies. The work they do greatly benefits our services community and we encourage you to participate in their research efforts when you can.
  3. For LinkedIn for Groups. From time to time, we send a list of all email addresses and names to LinkedIn for inclusion in LinkedIn for Groups. If you are a PSVillage member and do not want your information to be included in LinkedIn for Groups, please send an email to admin@psvillage.com and we will remove your name from the list. This will not impact your membership in PSVillage. To learn more about LinkedIn for Groups and to see LinkedIn’s privacy policy, go to www.linkedin.com/groups.
  4. If you’ve signed up on the PSVillage job board. We use a third party, JobTarget, for our job board. They capture your identifying information for the purpose of billing and reporting. Please see their privacy policy at www.JobTarget.com.
For those of you who have granted us permission to use your name and/or email address on the site for either the Voice of the Village online magazine, for the PSVillager Spotlight or for any other reason, we take great care to publish only the information that you agreed to have published.
While your information will not be sold or shared for marketing purposes to other companies, we will disclose personal and aggregate information when required by a valid legal mechanism, such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order, or when we deem it necessary, in our sole discretion, to protect our rights and the safety of others, or our members, employees, or properties.
Opt Out
You may unsubscribe from the PSVillage Yahoo Groups forum at any time by simply sending an email using the email address in which you signed up to: psvillage-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.comor psvillagerw-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com, depending on which group you’ve subscribed.
If you have any questions on this privacy policy or any other matter regarding PSVillage, please email us at support@psvillage.com.
