The Essential Traits of Effective Consultants

Abstract

Consultants are a unique breed.  Sourcing and screening candidates can be difficult - especially when trying to determine whether a candidate who has not been in a consulting role before fits the consultant mold.  I surveyed a number of recruiters and came up with a short list of criteria that make up the essential traits of effective consultants.  These can be used when screening new candidates or helping more junior consultants to grow into a senior consultant role.
