What are three things most people don't know about you?

a). My first job was digging graves back in upstate Vermont!
b). I played professional basketball in Europe - All 5 FT. 10 IN of me!
c). I am completely ambidextrous.

What's the best memory from your youth?

My dad letting me steer the car backing in and out our driveway.

If you could have a conversation with a person of your choice, past, present or future, who would that person be and why?

Only one person? I would have to say Jesus Christ for what should be obvious reasons.

What's the hardest thing you've ever done in your life?

At one high-tech firm, I was hired to close down the region. They called me Darth Vader in the hallways. I hated it. We were doing it in waves and everyone could see it coming. I finally sent out for beer and pizza and had a huge meeting with all employees and explained the situation. Even my job was perishable.

What's your favorite hobby?

Playing guitar.

What are you currently reading? What is your favorite book?

I just finished reading DaVinci Code.

My favorite book? How about anything by Stephen King. He lives very close to where I grew up in New England.

Is there a particular place or thing you want to see?

I would like to see the US team win the World Cup.

If you could give $10,000 to a charity, what would that charity be and why?

I would give $10,000 to the Shriner’s Organization.

If you weren't on the professional services career track, what would you be doing?

Improving my Portuguese and German vocabulary and grammar and traveling.

What is the path that led you to Professional Services/Consulting?

I was pulled in by a mentor confident I would excel managing regions and deliver operations.

What advice would you give to a recent graduate who just took a job in professional services?

Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Those who toil with you today will be running departments and regions. Treat them right. Be responsible. Do what you say you are going to do. Honesty and integrity aren’t just buzz words, live by them.
